Sounds like a plan to me! I currently use the Favorites feature in a very simple way — I simply delete all entries that I have looked up in the past that I don’t think I need to remember, and review the rest on a regular basis.

Will this be lost in 3.0? I don’t want to lose the data I have accumulated. Should I back it up in some way?

I don’t have a firm timeline yet. I am working on it, but this release will require a lot more testing before it’s ready since so many things will be changing dramatically. I think pessimistically look for it before the end of the year, but hopefully it will be ready in a few weeks, and hopefully Apple review will only take a few days to a week after that.

I’d like to THANK you for all the work put in the app. I know a few people that moved to Sweden and really appreciate the app. I feel sad for every poor review of Lexikon in the App Store. Just keep up the good work, because it HELPS people.

As a suggestion, I can only suggest some better text formatting. Check Readability(.com) web service made for more comfortable reading. I’d love to use such bigger serif font, it works so great with RSS. Maybe an option to choose a favorite font and size would suit all the users?

I recommend you check out the app by Bab.la, it is free and appears to no longer be limited to the European iTunes store. It contains the Folkets Lexikon data and more words and works completely offline. Though I feel the app has some shortcomings in the UI, they aren’t so bad that a good app would likely be able to recoup the costs to develop.

It would be so great to have Lexin or Folkets Lexicon database available OFFLINE. It would be #1 among the swedish language apps and many people would be glad to pay for one!

This was a temporary hiccup with the Lexin website. The first time I’ve seen the service unavailable in a few years.
